Hi Mal. It’s one of those devices designed by Mark Edwards that accepts a Rock 3 sideways which is twisted 90degrees and locks into place. It is held in that position by a spring activated back plate. They were placed on the Costa Brava limestone for a brief period. I was gonna use UKC to see if anyone had the Edwards contacts so I can work out if there was any collaboration with Roland Pauligk as he has the one you see in the picture and an RP 5 fits perfectly. I have found the Edwards and mailed them directly. Bit of esoteric climbing history. Hope your well and great to catch up albeit briefly. Come out with Tomo next Easter? Just sewing a seed! Nice to be home in Nati. Cheers

Didn’t say how we got it so will add the backstory if anyone else wonders how it fits together. Roland Pauligk who designed and manufactured RP’s for decades lived in Victoria and died in 2017. There is a soon to be opened climbing museum in Natimuk. My friend Geoff approached the family and asked if we could have any exhibits for the museum seeing the pro he made was initially designed for Arapiles and had such an impact allowing protection to be place in micro placements. The family have bequeathed the museum his whole setup and this ENP device turned up amongst his gear. I remembered the Edwards designing and placing them some time back in the 80’s or maybe 90,s and was trying to join some dots together to see if and how Roland Pauligk was involved.
