A stunning shot but can the scan be improved?

Not sure about that, this was shot on cheapo (indeed free-o) print film from Jessop, in a compact. Standards had slipped.

Wonderful depth and light, classically composed. It seems that climbing and mountaineering shots often have strong natural lines for the eye to follow. This may be because these activities follow such lines. I was drawn first to the strong contrast area bottom left with the lower peak, then my eye follow up to the ridge at the bottom of the shot, another strong contrast area. I was then drawn along the ridge trail to the figure where I stopped and then looked out over the sky and scene in the distance. This line, that my eye followed, reflects a theoretical mountaineers route, ascending the mountain, along the ridge to enjoy the view. To me this adds heaps to the image and the feeling it provokes as you look through it.
