Great shot. Maybe his face could be a little lighter. But as its on top of a well respected climb, i think the critics will let you off. Good Effort!

Hi Davie. I can't remember! (increasingly Alzie these days). Possibly not much, maybe axes. It was easy ground here (on the 'Spider' below exit chimneys) so wasn't expecting Sarah to fall off.

I remember this belay very well. It was a warthog and an ice screw, reinforced I believe by an axe. The warthog was pretty loose but there was very little choice. I wasn't bothered; I was very happy and climbing better than had ever climbed. What a perfect day we had - the ice, the weather, the route and then the heavenly pyrotechnics on the descent.

If this is the last but one belay on the route then there is an excellent rock belay. The belay on the top pitch was a buried axe i think. great shot.
