On the outskirts of the (very picturesque) village of Mells, near Frome.

First ascent...or is he top roping?

You clearly haven't mastered the art of throwing a sling around a handy object when you're below it...

Heh, went there today, looking for the climbs on the first face. We couldn't get to any of them, so found this piece of rock, which doesn't seem to be in the guide. Managed a clean onsight of it, not knowing the grade. (which was lucky as HVS is the hardest lead I've done before.) I found that the crux was just where you are in the pic ;-) The rest of the place is so overgrown, you can't get to the faces..

It's not in the guide cos we cleaned it in May :)
A bit of bashing will get to the other faces - Mells Wall is easy to get to really, I'm surprised there's not a path through at the moment (haven't been back for a month or so though).
