This is the topo I drew for our ascent of Espolon Central Direct. There was no way I was carrying a guidebook up there, so I made this from a sheet of A5 out of my sketchbook and folded it for my pocket.
The topo itself is pretty accurate. The descent sketch is copied from the las Rockfax guide and could be better. We spent ages following goat tracks to nothing before we managed to find the right way.

Topo is bang on. Excellent.

NOTE: There is a via ferrata type cable in place to use for most of the descent from pitch 13 (the red splodges). Look for drops and big circles of red paint to follow the descent.
For me, pitches 7 and 8 are within the VS range (4a-4b/c).
Also, some of the bolted belays had there hangerĀ“s removed (06/09/08), strange? Often there is just one bolt that has a hanger.
Not a route for beginners at trad multi-pich. No way. Its massive.
