The group reach the col below Meikle Pap, and are confronted by gale force winds and driving rain.

Somewhat typical of the weather of Dark Lochnagar.

A couple of minutes later, a number of the group were literally blown off their feet, back up that snow patch you see behind them. It was a fell windy day like!
