Think I went across a bit lower than that when I did it (feet on the bottom bit of the hanging slab) - maybe that's why you reckon it was sandbag? Way I did it felt 5a max.

Where his hip is was where i had my feet. Felt about 5c. no joke..

Glad someone else found that hard! Also glad I was seconding that pitch.

I found it hard too, and i was only seconding it. My friend leading it also found it a bit tough.
I think I crossed a bit lower than the bloke in the picture.

Adamtheclimber (above) is correct about where the route goes - it's a very long stride to place your foot in the very bottom of the grassy chimney. It probably merits 5a for the first time you do it with no beta!

There is a wee line of holds that lure you into this way but definitely easier lower down.
