Best Climbing Experience
2022
Dream of White Horses, Gogarth with Nolan Smyth. Fantastic route, incredible weather, stunning sights, a family of seals playing in the waves below.
2021
Onsight lead of HVS direct finish to Leviathan, Dewerstone
Doydon Point clean second on Lotus E1
Clean lead on Lunacod, Lower Sharpnose with Nolan Smyth. Stunning line, tremendous finish.
2020
Lower Sharpnose favourite venue yet: clean second of Lunacod HVS, spooky dogged seconds on The Smile and Out of the Blue, goal to tidy up and lead all three.
On sight lead sport 6b Shotgun at Intake Quarry, not bad for post lockdown climbing.
Pre 2020
First Project Battle: Goliath's Groove HVS 5a, Stanage, fell all the way up it until I learned how to climb it clean.
First Nemesis: Teaser VS4c Holyhead Mountain, fell as an inexperienced leader, escaped via top rope, went back and led it clean after a year of improving elsewhere.
First year outdoor: Ledge climb, Bosigran, I felt bold with big lady balls that day! Spiral staircase, astoundingly beautiful, I felt so confident, what a difference a year makes!
