Stac Pollaidh - Climbing, Scrambling, Summit Camping... Whisky Drinking

A solo climb up the West Buttress of Stac Pollaidh, followed by the summit ridge scramble and a high camp.

"Climbed on a beautiful dry day so most of the route was technically quite easy" says Jonas Hubalek. "But I had to be careful about a huge wobbly rock close to the end of the climb. However the whole climb was very enjoyable with stunning views and with good holds but exposed in many places."

Don't try this at home, unless you're a climber confident of soloing a big mountain VDiff.

"Wind changed direction slightly at night and got much stronger" says Jonas. "My tent was smashed down and even one of the poles broke so I had to pack it all earlier and finish the night in sleeping bag under stars with Jura to keep me warm..."
