100 Years of the Pinnacle Club

'100 years of the Pinnacle Club’ showcases extracts of interviews conducted with members of the Pinnacle Club during 2020, combined with archive footage and photos. The interviews were recorded for the Pinnacle Club’s 2021 centenary, as part of a project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to bring the Club’s 100-year history to life.

Seven Club members carried out the interviews and 23 members were interviewed in all, with ages ranging from 26 to 96. The result is over 50 hours of recorded interviews, covering a climbing era from the 1940s through to the present day. The complete recordings will be housed in the British Library Sound Archive, to create the first dedicated oral collection on climbing (ref C1876). You can listen easily to over 100 short extracts from these interviews on the Club’s centenary website at pc100.org.

I'm currently indisposed due to a damaged foot so I'm bored! Saw this thread and viewed the pc100.org website. Several hours flew by, what a wonderful record and an archive to treasure. Well done all involved.
