Roc-Bloc is an exciting new climbing centre in Cardiff which has now been open a little over a year. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to ideally start in mid-September.

Overview:
The Deputy Manager is responsible for assisting the Centre Manager in carrying out and monitoring the management procedures & safe operation of roc-bloc. They will help manage and support a team of Duty Managers, Centre Assistants and Coaches, providing training and leading monthly staff meetings.
This role would be perfect for someone who:
- Is ready to progress to a more senior position within a climbing wall business.
- Has a good awareness of health & safety in climbing walls.
- Enjoys building meaningful and professional relationships with customers, students and staff.
- Is passionate about climbing and building a community.
- Is good at prioritising tasks, is organised and manages their time well.
- Is reliable and enjoys being part of, and managing a small team.
- Is good at and enjoys looking at the bigger picture prioritising tasks accordingly.
- A respectful and professional person who can lead meetings and deliver feedback in an appropriate manner.
- Feels comfortable dealing with first aid, emergency & complaint scenarios.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working in a management role within a climbing centre (Duty Manager or higher).
- Passionate about climbing and bouldering.
- Emergency first aid at work.
- Experience using Rock Gym pro software.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- CWI or higher
- Foundation/Development Coach
- Fundamentals 1 & 2
- Safeguarding in Sport
- Retail or Cafe management experience
- Experience using Deputy scheduling software
- Experience using Papertrail records
- Experience using Google Suite for Business
