Roc-Bloc is an exciting new climbing centre in Cardiff which has now been open a little over a year. We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to ideally start in mid-September.

Overview:
The Deputy Manager is responsible for assisting the Centre Manager in carrying out and monitoring the management procedures & safe operation of roc-bloc.  They will help manage and support a team of Duty Managers, Centre Assistants and Coaches, providing training and leading monthly staff meetings. 

This role would be perfect for someone who:

• Is ready to progress to a more senior position within a climbing wall business.
• Has a good awareness of health & safety in climbing walls.
• Enjoys building meaningful and professional relationships with customers, students and staff.
• Is passionate about climbing and building a community. 
• Is good at prioritising tasks, is organised and manages their time well.
• Is reliable and enjoys being part of, and managing a small team.
• Is good at and enjoys looking at the bigger picture prioritising tasks accordingly. 
• A respectful and professional person who can lead meetings and deliver feedback in an appropriate manner.
• Feels comfortable dealing with first aid, emergency & complaint scenarios. 

 Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience working in a management role within a climbing centre (Duty Manager or higher). 
• Passionate about climbing and bouldering.
• Emergency first aid at work.
• Experience using Rock Gym pro software.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• CWI or higher
• Foundation/Development  Coach
• Fundamentals 1 & 2
• Safeguarding in Sport
• Retail or Cafe management experience
• Experience using Deputy scheduling software
• Experience using Papertrail records 
• Experience using Google Suite for Business
