The Outdoor Research Maximus Jacket (RRP £340)
The workhorse of our winter range the Maximus jacket offers protection against the most brutal weather conditions whether you are attacking a classic route in Scotland or (if you are lucky) spending some time in the Alps.
The Maximus features the strongest and most breathable Gore-Tex Pro fabric yet which, coupled with Hybrid Mapping Construction produces a 28% increase in breathability which keeps you more comfortable in a wider range of conditions.
The new Maximus also features stretch panels on the back and under the arms which helps to increase range of movement when stretching and twisting for those tricky axe placements.
To top off the spec list the Maximus has a helmet compatible, wire brimmed, full adjustable hood which helps to keep the elements out no matter where you turn and full TorsoFlo Hem-To-Pit zippers to let the weather in when you need it.
