Was a bit shocked to see the planning notice today ref the 35m lattice steel phone mast to be erected at Lanteys Tarn, above Glenridding.
I'm not a local, so maybe I shouldn't have an opinion, but this seems an absolutely bonkers idea. Coverage down in the village is pretty good anyway, I seem to be able to get good 4g even on my crappy phone. So is it really needed? Even if it is, 35m of lattice steel, amongst beautiful redwood and Scots Pines, is that the best we can do?
