Hi all, 

I've managed to wrangle a week off in Mid-March and I'm keen to get some hiking done. With this in mind I thought it best to see whether anyone has any trail suggestions for this time of year? 

I'd be going alone. I've been looking at a few hikes in France as well as a some in Spain, although anywhere would do. I've not got much experience doing via ferratas although I'm keen to try, by what I've been told it's best to go accompanied during your first few runs. 

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This looks brilliant, going to have a proper look tonight to see whether it's doable in 9 days. Might have to add it to the list until I book a longer stint off work. 

The GR221 through the Sierra de Tramuntana of Mallorca might suit you? I haven't done the trail myself but have walked stretches of it during numerous visits to Mallorca. March should be quite nice weather wise. One day, hopefully ... ?

GR20 took us 12 days, squeezed into a two week annual leave.

GR221 took me 6 or 7 days, much easier.

Yea it's looking like that might be a good shout. Looks like it's better suited to my time frame and the views look just as good, thanks for the suggestion. 

Leaning towards the GR221 atm, what time of year did you do it?
