Happiest scurrying around bits of rock in the North West of Scotland and the Isles but am exiled to the scorched flat-lands of East Anglia at present. :( However, over the last couple of years I've been enjoying a sordid and flirtatious affair with the Culm Coast, conducted over a series of 'dirty weekends' away!

Best Climbing Experience
Pulling pulks over Arctic sea-ice toward unclimbed peaks on islands emerging from the flat white. New routeing in the deep winter Cauacasus and the Himalaya. Or just looking over the Minch and islands from a belay ledge on a warm summer evening:- Too many to mention (or remember for that matter).

Favourite Climbing-Related Discussion Topic
Not big on animated UKC 'discussions' but I do enjoy a well mannered exchange of views or useful information on out-of-the-way and adventurous venues.

Interests Outside Climbing
A bit of wild trout fly-fishing out in the hill lochs, hiking, travelling and camping. Reading and music with a indie rock bent. Some football, tennis and squash also on occasion.

About My Photography
Mostly amateurish landscape stuff with compacts. Have now disposed of the old SLR and slide film that used to come out for (rare) expeditions.

Favourite Climbs
Longer mountain routes and adventurous sea cliffs excursions on the quieter stretches of the coastline really do it for me. In fact anything that doesn't involve braying crowds of 'humanity' and queuing for chalk-smeared lines of mirror-smooth polished holds on 'popular' outcrops.
