I started climbing in 2011 and have managed to get a lot done around the Wye Valley, Mendip and Bristol area. Currently I onsight around VS but will sometimes lead harder routes particularly if I've seconded them previously. I also enjoy sport climbing and can onsight F6a/soft F6a+. I've redpointed several routes at F6b+ at Cheddar and the Wye Valley. During wet weather I often climb indoors at Redpoint or TCA.

Over the coming months I'm hoping to improve my sport redpoint grade to F6c. Also, enjoy plenty of days on easier routes.

There are several people I climb with on a semi-regular basis, but Iím happy to climb with new people although I prefer it if they have a profile filled in with at least a list of their recent climbs -- when Iím looking to get out climbing I sometimes put a post on the UKC forum.

Best Climbing Experience
Collapsing exhausted in the snow on the summit of Stob Coire nan Lochan after linking a couple of "easy" winter routes. The last 100m of front-pointing up the névé carrying rack, rope (that we didn't even use) and bag nearly finished me -- but lying there, at the top, scoffing a flapjack, was deeply satisfying.

And getting "Stone Town" clean at Cheddar on a hot sweaty summer evening.

Interests Outside Climbing
I occasionally fish, also run or hill walk to stay reasonably fit. I did a lot of hill walking several years back and was trying to work through all the Welsh 2000ft+ hills, but I've had a knee problem that's put that objective on hold for a bit. I've also done a handful of Munros, and will hopefully get a few more ticked off if the knee improves.
