An oldie who likes to keep my hand in. Two trips to Kyrgyzstan exploring mountains in the south east near the Chinese border. Bagged a previously unclimbed peak, 41025mts. A couple of Russians dropped into our camp to let us know.

Best Climbing Experience
June 1976 Bob Brown and my self had climbed to the Cioch and were going to climb a good classic Wallworks route, but some guy was stuck. Bob gave me the gear and said try that crack there Chris. It was a diagonal line fom near the base of Wallworks route but goes across the face well above the Cioch. The pitch ended in a hand traverse onto the crux of the then hardest route on Skye, Trophy Cracks. That was easy compared to what we had just climbed. I believe that is the route now called Spock! We never claimed first ascent although I think we were the first. I have climbed with Bob on other remote craigs in Scotland and on one occasion found an old peg from Tom Patey explorations. So you can never be to sure.
