Climbing-wise I've always been a talentless bumbler, but that's fine by me. I prefer big easy mountain routes and I'm just as happy scrambling as cragging. But the Mrs has just bought me a finger board, so who knows ...the sky's the limit.

You can't recreate the buzz of the new: learning to lead at Ilkley and Almscliff; first multi pitch route (something on Lliwedd; we were never sure what); first time in the Alps (we got bugger all done); first glimpse over the zawn to Wen slab; first time up Tower Ridge in decent nick; first ascent of some Pennine winter esoterica...
