Started climbing in 1971 with Scunthorpe Mountaineering club. Started doing the real stuff with Andy Hyslop in late 70s early eighties whilst at College. Got into Match Angling and potholing and climbing suffered. Now climb when I can but at a much lower standard.
Best Climbing Experience
Dream of White Horses one foggy morning with my old mate Ian Mateer, although many good days out with Andy Hyslop.

Interests Outside Climbing
Golf (play occasionally) and I am a member of a match fishing club and the Nottingham Piscatorial Society, one match a week in the season. I use my mountain bike when I get chance. I retired on 22nd March 2013 and seem to have less time than I had when i worked, Looks like I am to be a full time carer for a while as my wife has cancer.
About My Photography
Most of the earlier photos on my gallery are taken with a Fujizoom 2800 I loved this camera. However I have dropped it and moved on to a Fuji S6500 but used a Nikon Coolpix for my climbing shots..I now have a Panasonic Lumix TZ5. TZ5 now has scratched lens, now have a FujiFXR 500 too early to say if I like it yet.
Now use TZ25 its not bad at the price.

Anything Else We Should Know
Climbing suffered due to too much time potholing, fishing and golfing but I still like to climb when I can however successive neck, shoulder and back injuries( and the ageing process) prevent me from climbing to the standard I would like. Would be up for offers from anyone wanting to climb in the Peak from north Notts.
