I live in France with my two girls.
We bailed from East Lancashire in 2002 and we've been in Provence ever since running our cyclist's and climber's guest house.

Best Climbing Experience
Too many to mention but I surpassed all my climbing achievements in October 2011 when I topped out on El Capitan twice in 10 days - first via The Nose and a few days later by the classic aid line Zodiac - a speedy one bivvy ascent done 99% clean which I'm really proud of!
Climbing Snakedyke with a German Supermodel (almost) Then getting breakfast pancakes from her in Camp 4.
Onsighting Right wall after nearly twenty years of wondering if I'd ever be good enough was amazing.
Cooling sore fingers on an ice cold Leffe at the Damme Joanne with your best mates - done this many times - sweet!
Drinking a pint of Tim Taylor's Landlord in Malham after a summer's evening scaring yourself in Gordale - does it get any better?
Riding up Alpe d'Huez in less than an hour.
Oh yes, I bottomed the Gouffre Berger in 1999 so I've done a bit of caving too.
My worst Climbing related experience came after doing Right Wall. It involved sitting in the traffic for 3 hours on the N Wales coast road and missing last orders back in Burnley when I'd been waiting 20 years for a celebratory pint!
Bailing from The Nose in 2010 was pretty grim too. Using the hammer once to place a beak on The Nipple Pitch on Zodiac blowing the 100% clean ascent.

Interests Outside Climbing
Well, I'm a climber and a cyclist and like racing my bike. Climbing is my passion - cycling is my passionate job but I love music more than my bike and nearly as much as climbing.

I still like to Dj. I love Balearic stuff.

Anything Else We Should Know
We have some world class climbing venues within 20 minutes drive of us here in Faucon and we have a gite and B+B wth 6 bedrooms geared up for climbers and cyclists. See my premier post.
I speak my mind and don't suffer fools which sometimes gets me into bother with the thin skinned amongst us. You would enjoy a pint or glass of Cotes du Rhone with me though whoever you are - I promise.
