I was taken to Burbage North in September 2008 by my "then" boyfriend Roy Hobson and tied on to a rope and pointed at 20-foot crack and told to climb it! So I did, not knowing whether I should be able to or not and got the bug so booked on a beginners climbing course down in Wales Easter 2009 and the bug well and truly took hold!
*** UPDATE 7th July 2009 ***
Leading VDiff but did my first HS lead on Slab Recess Direct at Froggatt a week or so ago and loved it. Thanks go to everyone who has partnered me thus far, all invaluable experience. Loving every outing.
*** UPDATE 16th Jan 2010 ***
Despite carrying various injuries I'm fairly confident leading S/HS and even a few VS, just depends what they look like on the day. Embankment 1 was one of those at the back end of October last year. I'd looked at Embankment 2, stuck my left hand in the crack and knew my dodgy left shoulder wouldn't cope. Embankment 1 relied more on the right :D Still loving it and despite the dodgy shoulder, dodgy left thumb and seriously unstable right wrist and middle finger, am off to El Chorro in February for my birthday. :D
*** UPDATE 17th April 2010 ***
Managed to complete more than 365 climbs in my first year...thats one a day :-) some admittedly repeats so must do better as my teachers used to say :D
*** UPDATE 25th April 2010 ***

Best Climbing Experience
Embankment 1 at Millstone Edge particularly, Croton Oil at Rivelin, also Kestrel Crack at Tremadog, Right Hand Crack at Brimham but generally all of them! Just love it!

Anything Else We Should Know
I'm trained as a physiotherapist but am no longer registered as changed jobs to work in the NHS dealing with the obesity crisis. The powers that be decided that Weightwatchers can do a stunning job (I just don't understand why it hasn't worked before if that's the case!) and our service was decommissioned so I'm now earning about 3p an hour building websites (the pay is actually pretty good but I'm really slow at it as I'm learning as I go along!!) but it does give me chance to go out and play when the weather is kind :-) Every cloud has a silver lining if you look hard enough :D
