General v Specific Training Advice

Hi! 
 

I’ve been bouldering (indoors) for a couple of months now and really enjoy it. I’ve got to V3/4 and am now noticing a difference in climbs, in terms of it taking me a lot longer to progress (I climb at the hangar if that makes any difference). What I’m curious to know is should I start specific training around now or leave it for a bit? I’m seen mixed advice. I’ve been doing ‘general’ fitness training at home such as bodyweight workouts etc which aren’t massively specific to climbing but I just wanted to get into shape anyway🤷🏼‍♂️ I go climbing 3 times a week and I don’t want my sessions to feel too much like ‘training’ when it’s something I do for fun…but I do want to improve haha. I still want to ‘play’ whilst climbing rather than feel like I’m doing drills or whatever. Any advice would be great😊
