Hi all,

Have just bought my 4-year old daughter her first climbing harness and would like to take her top-roping in the St. David's area (pembrokeshire). Can anyone recommend any good crags for small beginners with decent access for setting up a top-rope?

Thanks!

Bill

Porthclais Area

One of the few Pembrokeshire crags I can think of without an abseil to get in, and has some friendly Diffs to get started on. Pembroke is a bolt-free zone, so you'll obviously need to bring gear to set up the top anchor, and watch that you're not causing unnecessary wear to the rock when you TR.

There is a pleasant little crag about 5-10 minutes west of the caerfai car park which I think is called sunshine wall, that has some pleasant routes with a fairly straightforward approach.
