...off to Thailand in 3 weeks and can i find any shorts for sale in the shops...no i can't.I am looking for a pair for swimming that i can climb in and have velcro type pockets.

have you tried the likes of surf shops or swim shops? Quicksliver or Mambo will sell things like this

In reply to gary1: TKMAXX i got billabong swim shorts loads of t shirts and some nike shorts. dirt cheap.
