Socks - How very Xmasy!!

Ok Kids and Kidettes, recommend me some socks, for wearing inside my 3/4 season boots when walking etc 4000+m.

What are the warmest one can get? or whats a good combination of 2 pairs that you use

For Info - Boots are La Sportiva Makalus

thin synthetic sock with thicker wool sock on top

just make sure it doesn't make your boots tight at all

Three to try, smartwool mountaineers, thorlo's (the the thick ones with the cream toes) and the extremities mountain toesters, I've used them all in low temps and they're all good depending on your liners, and like the man says you need enough room in your boots.
