A couple of months back somebody sent me an email with information about some climbing near Dresden and in the Chech republic. I've subsequently lost all my emails recently so if that persons reading this could you send me the link to the website again and you mentioned a guide?! Alternatively, if anybody has any other information they fancy sharing, any information would be welcome.

In reply to nickstephens: There is plenty of climbing in the Elbesandstiengebirge and just across the border in the Czech Republic. Most routes are sparcely bolted with runouts of up to 20m. You are expected to use slings for threads and jammed knots in cracks, in between the bolts.

The only climbing guides I have seen for the Czech side are difficult to understand and translate from Czech. You would possibly be better off with a (human) guide there.

There are some very nice areas to climb in though.

Andy
