This year's E5 lecture series kicks off Thursday the 19th of January with Mick Fowler sharing some amazing stories from over twenty years of cutting edge alpinism.
Venue: George Square lecture theatre.
Time: 8pm. Get there early for a beer at the bar.
Mick's unique take on adventure has led him not only to climb some of the planet's most inspiring mountain routes, but also to other more obscure objectives. One cold winter he climbed an ice fall that had formed on the outside of St Pancras train station! More recently chalk cliffs in Brittany and victorian drainage tunnels in the east midlands have been the focus of weekend attention!
Mick has been awarded the prestigious Piolet D'or award for his new route on Siguniang with Paul Ramsden. His recent book, "On Thin Ice" was recieved to widespread critical acclaim.
Tickets are £5 in advance from Tiso Edinburgh shops, or £6 on the door. Tickets to all 5 lectures are a bargain at £18!
