I looked at the website yesterday and it all sounds very interesting. But it didn't tell me where I could get hold of it.

Any ideas??

Site says you'll be able to pick up a copy in sport centres, climbing walls & gear retailers or have it delivered to your door at a cost of about £10 for the year for the postage.

In reply to rich in wales:

We are currently putting together a comprehansive list of Climbing centres, retailers and sports centres to upload to the website.
Although we anticipate that no matter where you're based you won't have to travel far to grab a copy.

Thats completely correct, the magazine will be entirely free! However, due to that fact, posting it out to everyone who wants a copy delivering, would cost a fortune. We charge only the cost of postage (2nd class) and make no profit from you as readers.

In fact we pay premium rates for any material we use in the published edition.

The majority of the magazine will be made up of readers articles, reviews and pictures thus increasing the liklihood of your contributed materials being used.

A full list of what we'll pay will be available on the website later today, so don't forget to check it out!!

Having been a passionate climber and UKC user for some time, it is obvious to me the huge amount of unused talent that posts here - both in written form and photographic images!!

Gravity Magazine will be giving the 'everyday' climber a valuble and much needed voice in a national forum.

Website updated with how much we'll pay.

May thanks to the people who have already contributed.

Pictures are being upladed to the site shortly.

Given that it is going to be a free magazine, how do you make money with it? Advertising I assume? Only curious because you are also paying people to write articles etc.

The magazine should make money from advertisers but we're not asking a fortune for that either!!! In fact we're very cheap in comparison to most other specialist magazines as i understand it.

if anyone is interested in placing an Advert in Gravity Magazine just email:

stuart@gravitymagazine.co.uk to request an add pack.

In reply to Brian Darby: I have just had a look at the site and it looks great. Hopefully it will make a welcome change from the otherwise stale and enormously repetitive climbing press in Britain. (except Summit....).(And free too-now there's a way to a climbers heart!)
Well done!

Hey There All,

Gravity Magazine will be available from the 14th September from many Climbing Centres and retailers around the country - a list has been added to the website.

Due to unexpected delays with the building of our offices we have released a temporary address on the website to post your subscriptions applications to so you can reserve a copy now!

Our Advertisment Pack has also been uploaded to the website so take a look at our low prices for advertising in Gravity.

14th September issue #1.....Keep those contributions coming...
