Is there any good camp site near Almscliff? Would be good if it was near to a pub that seved food also.

In reply to Northen Vince: youd be lucky. not a good place for campsites. if you have a car you're better off heading further towards brimham. There have been threads on this subject (yorkshire camping) before, if you search...

I've seen folk camp up there, it's private land, if you asked the farmer i'm sure he'd let you.

Pretty sure on the OS Map there's a campsite next to Almscliff.

There's a really good pub near Huby but I can't for the life of me think what it's called...

Didn't SIMON off here stay at a campsite at Bilton Banks (Ie in Harogate just up the road) IIRC
