Aylesbury Climbing Club is hosting "CLIMBING ANGEL FALLS" an illustrated talk by renowned British climber, Ben Heason.
Wednesday 28th February 2007, 8pm at the Olympic Lodge Conference Centre, Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Guttmann Road, Aylesbury, HP21 9PP
In 2005 a team of British, Russian and Venezuelan climbers, made the first free ascent of the 1000m-high Angel Falls - the world's highest waterfall. Centred in the heart of the Venezuelan jungle, the story covers the whole adventure, from the journey to base camp, the amazing flora and fauna found in the unique Tepuis, and an insight into what happens when a small band of climbers spend 14 nights living on a big wall.
