Everyone is cordially invited to the festival. This will be held over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of March.
The aims of the festival are many:
-We aim to build on the route cleaning work done by climbers over the winter.
-We aim to have every climbable route ascended with a pair of secateurs to trim off the new spring growth.
-We aim to consume lots of chip butties, cakes and tea during the day.
-We aim to drink spend the evening drinking free beer and watching a great show by some seriously gnarly climbers.
-We aim to have fun.
Everyone attending the festival on Saturday with a pair of secateurs (and using them on a route!) will recieve a raffle ticket. The prize draw will be at 5.30 pm in Eric's Caff 24th March. Prizes are being donated by the BMC, DMM, Pete's Eat's, Joe Brown's, V12 and Ground Up (Copies of North Wales Rock). Free accommodation will be available in Eric's bunkhouse or on Eric's campsite, paid for the BMC.
Your raffle ticket will also provide free entry to Eric's Caff at 8.00pm to see; 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly: Adventures in Patagonia' by Britain's top mountaineer Stu McAleese. The BMC will provide free Beer from the local Purple Moose Brewery, followed by a bonfire.
All welcome,
Mike Raine

TremFest facts:
1) i recommend the use of earplugs for those staying in the bunkhouse
2) pint glasses have been sourced!
3) the weather is improving as we speak.
4) UKC supremo and photographer to the stars nick smith has been selected as the official photographer for the weekend. make sure you wear your brightest clothes for fame and glory (but no fortune)
5) eric's will be open from 9am saturday until there's no more demand for food, and the same will be true on sunday.
It went really well, thanks to everybody for turning up. Full reports will follow in due course and we're already making a list of improvements for next year!
In reply to martin k: It was a great event! Well done to the organisers, and for all the climbers who put in so much work.
