I have a question about Mammut Tusk 9.8mm x 50m & Rope Bag @ http://www.rockrun.com/shop/prod.html?d=2&t=14&p=949 :

As well as indoor work is this rope suitable for outdoor use in the Peaks for instance.
I do a lot of indoor stuff and manage to get to places like sStanage 2 or 3 times a year is it worth getting any better quality rope than this?

In reply to Nigel Miles:
I would avoid anything less than 10.5mm for a single rope look at the "falls" on your rope choice this is an indication to its life span a friend had a 9.8 and it lasted not.

In reply to paul:
thinner ropes do wear out faster, if you're going to be using it a lot look for an 11mm one, having said that i have a 10mm Roca rope, which acually has better fall stats than many thicker ropes, with 10 factor 1.78 falls.
There's no reason why it shouldnt be suitable for outdoor use, except dry treatment is preferable for wet weather or ice climbing, and ive heard it makes th rope more durable too
