Hi,
Has anybody else had and hopefully solved this problem? Or can anybody explain why (after I've stripped and replaced, cleaned and loved everything) my Whisperlite 600 still sometimes stops working (even once it's well lit and roaring) when I pump it...perhaps should say sometimes goes out but mostly just becomes feeble...immediately after pumping.
Sometimes when I fiddle with the (completely cleaned and dismantled) valve screw it will roar into life. I can't see what can be wrong with the screw assembly and it's very simple and it's difficult to see what could go wrong with it.
I was close to binning it but have now found it works with my old Whisperlite International pump assembly, though it still reacts paradoxically to pumping sometimes.
Odd really...I find it hard to believe it's a design fault.
