On May 7th Chris Craggs and myself went down to our printers, Clearpoint in Nottingham, to see the first sheets of the latest Rockfax guidebook - Lofoten Rock - come off the press.

It is always a very satisfying experience to see the culmination of many months coming to fruition especially these days with even more colourful books, better proofing and more experience on our part making the whole process almost problem-free. We took the camcorder and made this little film (with backing music supplied by Hannah James-Louwerse).

The book itself covers the fantastic climbing on the Lofoten Islands in Norway.

Six colour I believe, but we only use four of them.

A little old hat, but it still does the job.

In reply to Alan James - UKC: built to last. Good luck with the book.
In reply to ROCKFAX:

I must say that seeing the first sheets come off the press for my first book was one of the most satisfying moments in my life - even more exciting than see the first bound copy.
The book is now available:

Some deliveries were sent out on Friday (24th), others will be going out on Tuesday (27th), the shops should all have stock for the beginning of June. Local copies in Lofoten should be there by the beginning of June as well.
