In reply to lukea6: the nearest walls are amersham or oxford brookes, no real rock for a long drive

In reply to Big Steve: Dont even think about clifton reymes or finedon slabs

In the same way that Newcastle upon Tyne is near the peak district perhaps?

In reply to lukea6: best in the area!!

amersham you get to watch people swimming while taking a rest,
brookes can get busy and lead area can fell a bit closed in, good bloddering though, westway is nearest mahoosive wall

In reply to gear boy:

Cool.. Bouldering will be handy actually as I'll more than likely be on my lonesome!

As in any 'good' climbing!

In reply to lukea6: ive never been to oxford brookes, but i have heard good things about it. Amersham is small, gets very hot and busy weekday evenings, bouldering is'nt very good but the lead walls are great, good mix of bolt ons, features, overhangs etc
