Well...

Am going camping with my friends in the Summer but have no sleeping bag. And no money.

We are going to Newquay in July so it's not going to be that cold, but I am planning to camp a lot more in the next few years.

any ideas of where to get a decent bag cheap??

Thanks

Ellie

Check Alpkit out, I've used their kit in the past and it's never failed me. Cheap and pretty good quality and with brilliant customer service too

Haglofs Zlumber Performance 3 - comfort at 3C and only £35!!! You don't want to go much cheaper if you're looking for something that will last you in the next few years, and these are on sale so should be £60.

I got my Rab one from Rock and Run for only £45, you got to keep looking
There is a massive army shop near me in Nottingham, they have then really cheep (not very nice looking though) maybe worth a look.

and you've also got CCC in Sheffield (or Hathersage?), or Decathlon.

Yeah I'm going to have a look in CCC. Went to Decathlon today and it was a bit rubbish. Nothing that looked any good between about £20 and £70. Unless I was just not looking hard enough. There's a new Cotswolds in Bakewell as well and I get a discount in Liverpool Cotswolds so might see if it is extendable to BAkewell.

Now what is wrong with this one?? I have no idea about sleeping bags but there must be some reason why it's only £25

In reply to elephant0907: Drink 10 pints less and spend the money on a sleeping bag from Aldi or Argos or just take a couple of blankets / duvet.

Your Cotswold discount will be valid in any branch, as long as you have your membership card (or letter, company ID card, Scout scarf, etc) to prove entitlement. They're getting pretty strict on it, these days.

The Marmot Wave bags in Cotswolds are hard to beat - they are bought in by the truck load, so really good value for money, especially if you bag one in a sale.
