I know it's at Tremadog, but I can't figure out which climb it is! Can you?
It's the one with the two people on it, in the foreground

Thank you in advance for your help!
In reply to melmyo: I think it's Valerie's Rib HS.

Thank you. I took that photo 5 years ago, I can't believe I did an HS back then!

In reply to melmyo:
the thing is we just climbed Valerie's Rib the other week, and se didnt remember it being the climb. this was the inital confusion and reasen for the post.

it could be tho i mean the pitch the belayer is on looks like that overhang/shelf on the first pich, i was leaning into the rock blaying you just like that and then the next pitch up there is a tree, just befor the easy ground that looks like the tree you belayed off and the the top out was like inside the rock.
OP melmyo 07 Jun 2009
In reply to munkey: Well it did look a lot different with trees and things in the way. I found it a lot easier when we climbed it the other week, compared to 5 years ago, which is a good sign I guess!

In reply to melmyo:

Yep, that's the view from the cafe of Valerys Rib. Got a harder one?
OP melmyo 07 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:
A harder one for you;

What climb am I doing? It's possibly at Clogwyn yr Oen, Moelwyns
 johnnorman 07 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:

Kirkus direct?
OP melmyo 07 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:
Hmmm, it could be!
 Mike Raine 07 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:

I think it's Craig yr Wrysgan
OP melmyo 07 Jun 2009
In reply to Mike Raine:
I think johnnorman might be correct, now that I've looked a my guide book a bit more closely, it does look a lot like it. I think we walked a lot further along than the tunnel for it to be Craig Yr Wrysgan. I'm still not 100% sure as it was a long time ago. I'd love to go back as I never finished the climb!
 Pekkie 07 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:

I implied a harder one at Tremadoc! However, it does look like the Moelwyns. Not been there for twenty years so will plead old-age-crap-memory. Still reckon I'm pretty hot on Tremadoc.....
 johnnorman 07 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:

Ok try this. You`ll prob get it straight away, but have a look anyway.
Name this route at Tremadoc.

In reply to johnnorman: Is it vector?
 James Thacker 07 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman: Extraction?
OP melmyo 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie: Sorry! I've only done about 3 or 4 climbs at Tramadog, and two of them have turned out to be the same climb after all!
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to James Thacker:

Not Vector or Extraction.
Anonymous 08 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:

is it Fingerlicker?
 Ivan Bicknell 08 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:
This is not Kirkus Direct on Clogwyn yr Oen the initial wall on that route is shorter than what can be seen here. Judging by the view of Craig y Clipiau in the background I would say this is a route on Craig yr Wrysgan.
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Anonymous:

Not Fingerlicker.
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Ivan Bicknell:

Its too low and too far away from Clipiau to be Wrysgan. Must be Clogwyn yr Oen.
 Pekkie 08 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:

I suppose I set myself up for this one! Not Fingerlicker, Vector or Extraction. Now let me see, easyish slab coming out of trees...crack. Nope, can't be a classic, can it? Yet it looks clean...you got me there.
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:

A clue. This is the top pitch and there is a peg and small wire to protect the last moves, also the crux.
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:

Stromboli
OP melmyo 08 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman: I'm going to have to go back and have a look aren't I? It'll drive me mad otherwise!
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:

Yes please do. Be interesting to see if it was Kirkus Direct.

In reply to johnnorman:

Is it Atomic Finger Flake?
 johnnorman 08 Jun 2009
In reply to Anonymous:

Sorry no. Its Stromboli.

In reply to johnnorman:

I know... I was taking the p1ss
 Pekkie 09 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:

I've done Stromboli loads of times and that's not it.
 johnnorman 09 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:

Yes it is, i took the photo.
 Pekkie 09 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:

I'm not doubting you. It's just not as I remember it. Did you take it from the top?
 johnnorman 09 Jun 2009
In reply to Pekkie:

Here`s the full image taken from the top.

In reply to Pekkie:

Its was a poor photo, i can see how it may have thrown you. I`ve also done Stomboli many times and that top pitch is great!
 Pekkie 09 Jun 2009
In reply to johnnorman:

Now that's Stromboli!

 johnnorman 10 Jun 2009
In reply to Ivan Bicknell:

Oh, you could be right there?? But still not convinced.

I might be in the area next week so i`m going to have to go and take some photos. Not climbed here for some time and there`s some great routes.

 johnnorman 14 Jun 2009
In reply to melmyo:

Well, its definately not Kirkus Direct.
