I am just about to place mine in some bolling water to help them stretch over my plastics ! rather than my normal walking boots. and i was just wandering if this is safe or are there an other ways to do it ?

In reply to L.A.: Interesting to see that demo - now I don't feel quite so incompetent! I find it easier to put them while wearing the boot.

I used a hairdryer to warm the rubber up, gave it them a few stretches and they went on (ski boots) easily.

In reply to Jacob-Oconnor: Your plastics are likely to be noticeably bigger than leathers of the same size. They may just not fit. I have a pair of yetis (actually Extremities) that go on my Nepal Extremies, and then another bigger pair that go on my Vegas. For day climbs I don't think you really need yetis on plastics, but if you are camping in deep snow for a long time they are helpful at keeping snow out of the boot.
