What happen to Gore Tex XCR and why it’s out of production? Even there is nothing on Gore official website except few products, All I heard is that its not as much breathable as other gorex but its much more durable and it was too expensive to produce.
I think they changed the backing fabric and called it Pro Shell. Meant to be more, not less, breathable than classic Goretex - which is now called Performance Shell.
In reply to bighell: F*ck off, I had a ME jacket with GT XCR, survived 6+ years on MRT and guiding business, still have it no for daily wear, although I use a ME Kongur MRT jacket now for the hill.
