Hi,
Planning to go to Llanberis this W/E and was hoping to climb 'Main Wall at Diffwys Ddu in the pass, near Dinas Mott.
Has anybody done this route and know if its possible with a single rope?
I have searched on the database but can not find any mention of the route, but its in the CC guide (Llanberis).

In reply to Graham6664: Hi Graham,

I personally would take 2 ropes.

Here is the UKC Database link.

I wouldn't do it on a single. There are at least 2 (from memory) pitches that traverse a bit, one of which (the crux) disappears round a corner before going up.

It will be in the logbooks under Cyrn Las (crag name) since this is the alternative name.

Perfectly possible with a single rope but given the choice I'd probably take doubles. It is a brilliant route but feels pretty tricky for HS if damp.

Thanks for the help and the links, think I will get another rope. Just praying for dry weather now.

i've done it with a single it was fine. just watch your gear, the travs aren't that long. tho the route can be a bit wet, esp on the crux, tho its not hard.
