folks,
I'm well aware that scafell (namely central buttress) doesn't dry quickly but what odds would a local chap wager given current forecastof it being okay to climb for friday ?

In reply to jas wood: Has been dry, breezy & sunny on the west coast all day today and the top of Wasdale looked - from a distance - to have been fine. Can't be any more specific re CG, but hope that helps.

In reply to jas wood: Eskdale was pretty dry yesterday, with the odd bit of seepage, reckon scafellwould be in similar condition

In reply to jas wood: Although the last two days have been dry with reasonable sun the higher western fells have tended to retain a cap of cloud above 2-2500'.

was fine today apart from a few damp patches on central buttress and rest of crag looked fine i think the exception being nazgul bottom pitch.
