The men's Troll Wall Jacket from Marmot provides rugged, lightweight Gore-Tex protection that’s more than worthy of its legendary Norwegian namesake. The Troll Wall's professional three-layer, fully waterproof construction features Gore-Tex's proprietary Micro Grid woven backer technology for improved internal abrasion and snag resistance, breathability, and decreased weight.
For such a lightweight 3-layer Gore-Tex Jacket, the Mens Troll Wall hosts a great deal of well thought-out, technical features: micro stitched and fully taped seams throughout provide maximum waterproof protection, while the zip-off powder skirt can be removed easily when not required. The laser cut pockets keep the air flowing when things get hot. Simple adjustments on the hem draw cord and the fully helmet compatible hood are reassuring when the weather closes in, and the DriClime lined chin guard wicks and protects your lower face from the elements.
Trail Magazine, October 2009........Troll Wall was new in 2008 and it’s an excellent option for the more adventurous UK mountain walker. It’s made from Gore- Tex Pro Shell, so it is unbeatable in terms of waterproofness and breathability. The hood is superb as it accommodates a helmet, and has a stiff peak and a stunning fit that allows good movement with the head. There are two cavernous chest pockets that are easily accessible while wearing a rucksack, making them ideal for warming hands or stashing maps, guidebooks, hat and gloves. You get great movement in the sleeves too. There are pit zips for extra venting and the pockets are laser drilled to improve airflow without opening the floodgates to the rain. For winter action you get a snow skirt, which can be zipped out to save weight and bulk.

Targeted at the outdoor professional Gore-Tex Pro Shell is the most hard wearing of the Gore fabrics.
