I need some shorts for climbing but can never find any with zippered pockets. I usually just wear craghoppers kiwi pants with the bottoms zipped off - excellent pockets but the material is a bit heavy. Can anyone recommend any? I could buy some that aren't "climbing-specific" but then there are mobility and durability issues....

In reply to wildeybeast: why not have a chalk bag with a zippered pocket. Then there is no need to have a zippered pocket in any of your clothing.

mountain biking shorts often have a zippered pocket and will allow you all the mobility you'd ever want. The materials should be pretty hard wearing too.

I climb in a pair of endura hummvee shorts without the liner.

In reply to Bob kate bob: Not a bad idea, but I doubt I'd fit fags, phone and keys in there.... Don't like leaving things in a bag at the bottom of a crag. Surely other people have these problems...???
