Just popped up to the Castle and the shop had a test pot of this stuff.

I suffer bad from dermatitis ever since handling a lot of detergents many moons ago when working in a club. If I use chalk my skin goes hard, cracks and bleeds. Outside it's ok as I just dont use it but indoors there's so much chalk on all the holds that I still suffer and end up with tape on every finger after a couple of boulder sessions.

I tried the Eco-chalk today and one rub of the stuff lasted for 2hours and my skin is not damaged at all. It's even left my skin soft! very impressed as I was starting to wish I could use chalk after a few weeks climbing limestone! Anyone else tried it who has similar problems?

The other bonus is it doesn't leave chalk all over the rock, and its not acidic either so wouldn't damage the rock/fauna.

In reply to royal: the downside for me is i dont want my hands soft as it severely limits climbing on gritstone!!
