Cotswold Outdoor are hosting a series of lectures through October and November from British climbing legend 'big' Ron Fawcett.
Lectures will take place on the following dates at these stores/venues;
Thursday 28th October 2010 Betwys-y-Coed Tree Tops Adventure
Wednesday 3rd November 2010 Leeds Cotswold Outdoor Store
Friday 5th November 2010 Carlisle Cotswold Outdoor Store
Tuesday 9th November 2010 Manchester Deansgate Cotswold Outdoor Store
Wednesday 10th November 2010 Liverpool Cotswold Outdoor Store
Doors will be open from 7.00 pm with the lecture starting promptly at 7.30 pm.
Tickets are priced at £8, Concessions £6, and are available from the individual stores holding the lectures.
There will be a 15% Cotswold Outdoor discount voucher for all those attending, refreshments and entry to a free prize draw kindly supported by DMM.
ABOUT RON FAWCETT
As one of a number of leading climbers in the 1970s, Ron was in no small part responsible for rock climbing's evolution from amateur pursuit, to professional endeavour. His drive, and physical and mental ability, gave him an edge with which to forge new ground. Climbs such as Lord of the Flies and Strawberries were at the forefront of world climbing at the time, and are still considered formidable challenges to this day.
In March this year he launched his successful biography Rock Athlete, another great read from the Vertebrate Publishing stable. Bring your copy down to one of the lectures for a signing and if you haven't already got yours, what are you waiting for?
