Scafell from Wasdale YHA

Hi All,
Whats the best route to climb Scafell and Pike from the Wasdale YHA. Grade 1or2 scarmbling would be cool aswell.

side issue-nearest Pub to the YHA? the Screes? how far?

You need to thumb a lift mate, it`s at the oposite end of the lake. pub is miles from Yha. You could get to the head, Pike - Lords Rake - Scafell - illgill back to yha.
If your first trip to the valley, visit the church and graveyard and look for the carved cross at the foot of Lords rake

With user name like yours if you can solo VS you could use Crowleys route get up from Mickledore onto Scafell
