Due to the exceptional snowfalls we have been experiencing the centre will be closed for today - we'll keep you posted about any developments.

In reply to Ratho - EICA: Just a quick update, we are still closed and we are trying to clear the access road and the car park althopugh it is still snowing - as with yesterday please go to the facebook link above for the latest info.

In reply to Ratho - EICA: Great news - WE ARE OPEN! Roads around the area are very tricky, so please drive with caution, but we have all facilities open today, including Scrambles. We will probably close early depending on amount of staff who can get in.

In similar situations in the future, can you please publicise temporary closures beyond the Facebook kingdom. Not everyone uses FB.

We are trying to keep as many people up to date as many ways as possible hence the posts here and Facebook, Twitter and our website forums being updated regularly. Please let us know if there are other ways we can keep you up to date.

We have opened this morning but as you may be aware it is snowing very heavily and the roads are treacherous so we may need to close early if the bad weather persists - we will keep you posted!

Fair dos, but I bet more people visit UKC than the EICA forum. (I was there on Saturday and had to dig out a space in the car park.)

Latest update! 1300h Monday

Due to the continuous horrendous snow, we are closing now. Please do not attempt to make it to EICA as all roads are a nightmare. Keep an eye out for news tomorrow morning.

Will get an official update up soon, but just to let you know we are planning to be open today. Scrambles will still be closed, but we have a temporary play area to replace it. The access road is open to one lane of traffic, so please take care driving in and out, and the car park is still pretty icy. Trying to get the car park sorted so there are more spaces, but won't get that completed until later this afternoon.

EICA will be open until 10pm this evening (subject to no further snow!). The roads and car park are covered in hard snow ice so please take care.

In reply to Ratho - EICA: We are open today. With temperatures sitting at -17, please take extra care if you are making the journey out today. The top corner of the car park is pretty slippy, so take your time when driving around it. Scrambles is still closed, but we have a fantastic room upstairs with lots of toys and a bouncy castle.
