Hi

I have booked a UK winter mountain course and it suggests to take insurance.

However looking into what is covered by the insurance I think my BMC membership covers the only part of the course insurance I think I would need which is the Personal Accident Disability Insurance Cover.

Everything else seems to be travel insurance which I don't believe I need as I live nearby.

What are your thoughts?

In reply to Southpaw:

Suggest you give Ray or Jim a call at the BMC office on Monday.

Cheers

In reply to Southpaw:

Give them a call, i may be wrong but i think BMC is personal liability- if you injure someone else in the process of what your doing and disability insurance incase you permanently damage yourself.

So you are not covered extensively, just the other person. 'Travel' insurance is not just required when you travel as such. So you need to take out full personal injury etc insurance through the BMC or somewhere else if you want to be fully covered.

Its up to you.
