While giving my stove its first ever service(O-rings perrished)
According to instructions it should have a shaker needle which rattles to clean jet, mine didn`t rattle and when i stripped it it was missing. This was one of the first ones out so not sure if it should have one fitted or is it missing ?
In reply to wobl: The original Whisperlight 500`s didnt have a Shaker jet(easy to tell- if yours has a flat topped hexagonal jet then its a 500)
If its one of the first ones (15 + years) Im not surprised the O rings have perished after that time!

In reply to L.A.: thanks for the info, yes it has a flat top jet and got to be well over 15 years old and only just started to leak so if new ones are as good can reccomend them, use mine stripped down inside a trangia and its like a furnace
