Peregrines at Wintour’s Leap – all clear

A slightly belated note to say that the peregrines nesting on the far right-hand end of Fly Wall have left the nest site – I believe that there was one chick, which seems to have successfully fledged, leaving lots of pigeon detritus (and one solitary egg, which must never have hatched – it’s certainly been abandoned). The nesting restriction is therefore lifted, and the signs have been removed.

In reply to Rick Sewards: Had a treat while there last week watching the adult teaching the youngster, dropping prey high above the wye and young bird trying to catch it. Great to see.
